LASER Education Foundation Hosts First Fundraising Event with a quiz night
More than 30 staff from London South East Colleges’ Greenwich campus came together on Thursday 3 April for the LASER Education Foundation’s first fundraising event.
Staff were invited to take part in an exciting Quiz Night, hosted by Student Engagement Officer, Paul Baird. Competing in teams of four, guests tested their knowledge in rounds including Art, Name that Song, Geography, and History.
Raising over £400, the event was a fantastic opportunity for staff to come together, have fun, and support a great cause. The LASER Education Foundation is dedicated to supporting children, young people, and adults in London and the South East, ensuring that they go on to succeed in life.
Deputy Principal, Neil Coates, said:
"We’re delighted be hosting the LASER Education Foundation’s first ever fundraising event here at Greenwich. It’s been a great evening and nice to see so many people supporting the foundation. This event really exemplifies the community spirit here at LSEC, as well as the ambition across the college to truly transform lives."
Organiser and Specialist Support Tutor, Donka Orefice, said:
"As teachers, the LASER Education Foundation’s purpose really struck a chord with many of us here at Greenwich, so we really wanted to do something to support the Foundation, while also bringing colleagues together. I am thrilled so many people have come out to support tonight’s quiz and make it such a success."
